Jesus is the best disciple-maker the world has seen. His eleven disciples changed the world. As followers of Jesus, we could do a lot worse than emulating His method. Of course, there are various ways to describe His model.
We believe Jesus modelled the following principles and that the early church used the same method. There is more material on each of these principles, here.
- Be intentional
- Relational rather than programmatic
- Select a few
- Lead through the growth stages to maturity
- Train on the job
- Invest heavily
- Commission them to repeat the process.
